COASTAL COMMANDERS: ROWING THE ATLANTIC IN 2026!

Happy New Year! Now that we are in 2025, we can officially say we’re rowing the Atlantic next year!

This epic journey will see us tackling over 3,000 miles of open water, from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean. It’s a monumental challenge, but one we’re ready to face head-on. With determination, teamwork, and a bit of sea salt in our veins, we’re taking on the adventure of a lifetime—and doing it for a cause that’s close to our hearts.

Rowing for a Purpose

This isn’t just about crossing an ocean; it’s about making waves for good. Our mission is to raise awareness and funds for two incredible charities:

  • Young Lives vs Cancer: Supporting children and young people living with cancer, as well as their families.

  • Move Against Cancer: Promoting physical activity as a way to improve well-being and recovery during and after cancer treatment.

We also want to inspire others to get active and challenge themselves, proving that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things.

What’s Next for the Coastal Commanders?

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming up as we gear up for this monumental row:

Training Begins in January

We’ll officially start our training program with the expert guidance of Gus Barton - Ocean Ready , an experienced Atlantic rower and personal trainer. This preparation is critical as we’ll need to row up to 16 hours a day during our journey.

Charity Events

We’re planning several exciting fundraising events, including a 24-hour row challenge. These events are opportunities to raise funds, spread awareness, and bring our community together in support of our cause.

Meet Our Boat

In April, we’ll take ownership of our ocean rowing boat from Rannoch Adventure . This boat will be our home, sanctuary, and lifeline during the crossing—a vessel built to withstand the Atlantic’s toughest conditions.

Follow the Journey

The countdown to our Atlantic adventure has begun, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

Follow us on social media for updates, training milestones, and behind-the-scenes glimpses as we prepare for the row of a lifetime. Together, we can make a real difference.
